Recently, Zorana Mihajlovic, the Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure of Serbia, paid a visit to the site of Shanghai Electric’s project in Pancevo, accompanied by Liu Kai, the Commercial Counselor from the Chinese Embassy in Serbia, and Nicolas Pomereko, the Commercial Counselor from the Russian Embassy in Serbia.

Zorana Mihajlovic stated that this project was an embodiment of the profound friendship among Serbia, China and Russia, and the three power generating sets would alleviate the shortage of local power supply to a certain extent after being connected to the grid, providing a solid guarantee for local residents’ daily life and industrial production. She expressed her sincere thanks to all staff of the project and highly appreciated their wisdom, hard work and indomitable spirit despite various difficulties.

After getting a clear understanding of project personnel, construction progress and pandemic prevention and control, Liu Kai fully affirmed the site management of the project, and put forward higher requirements on safety and quality management of the project on site. He said that the Chinese Embassy in Serbia would continuously and strongly support the development of Shanghai Electric in Serbia, and wished that the project would be put into operation as soon as possible.
