Dec. 10 - Today, Shanghai Smart City Cooperation Conference 2020 was unveiled at Shanghai International Convention Center under the guidance of Shanghai Smart City Construction Leadership Group Office and Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization. On behalf of Shanghai Electric, the representative of Shanghai Electric Digital Technology Co., Ltd. gave a keynote speech on the conference.

On the topic of “The Digital Transformation Journey of a Group Company: Explorations and Practices”, the speaker shared with guests and scholars how we planned our digitalization, intelligence and informatization visions in response to the call-to-action of “Online New Economy” and "Industrial Internet Empowerment Shanghai”, and leveraged our strength in equipment manufacturing to build digital and business capabilities of the Group through digital empowerment of the industry.

Besides, Shanghai Electric’s SEunicloud, a benchmark in the equipment manufacturing industry to drive digital transformation, was also included in the book “Smart Shanghai · Top Smart City Cases of Shanghai” co-created by Shanghai Smart City Research Institute and partners. This book has been published during the conference.

Recently, the opening ceremony of Shanghai Smart City Experience Week 2020, and the award ceremony of “Smart Craftsmen” and “Leading Pioneers” in the Shanghai Smart City initiative were held at the World Expo Museum. Cheng Yan, General Manager of Shanghai Electric Digital Technology Co., Ltd., was named one of the ten “Leading Pioneers” this year.

“Smart Craftsmen” and “Leading Pioneers” awards were considered the bellwether of technical development in Shanghai. 102 industry leaders applied, and 19 who made outstanding contributions to data and service support, smart application development, IoT sensing and network communication were shortlisted after several rounds of evaluation. 10 were chosen as final winners after live presentation and expert panel review sessions.
