On the morning of May 12, Shanghai Electric unveiled an Operation and Management Center for its rural sewage treatment project in Chongming. The center will provide services like maintaining integrated water treatment equipment, dredging pipelines and lift stations, and repairing and replacing electrical parts. Shanghai Electric Environmental Protection Group has since 2017 partnered with several villages in Chongming to build distributed sewage treatment facilities serving around 40,000 households.
