Shanghai No.1 Machine Tool Works Co., Ltd.(SNO1)is a wholly-owned subsidiary under Shanghai Electric Group Co.,Ltd.(SEC)and is attached to Shanghai Electric Nuclear Power Group Co., Ltd.(SENP). SNO1 is a national high-tech enterprise which is specialized in manufacturing of nuclear power station nuclear island main equipment——Nuclear Power reactor vessel internals (RVI) ， control rod drive mechanism (CRDM) and nuclear fuel charging machine(PMC). SNO1 is located in state-level advanced equipment manufacturing industry base——Heavy Equipment Base of Shanghai Lingang.
In 2004, the original Shanghai No.1 Machine Tool Works and the original Shanghai Xianfeng Electric Motor Factory merged to from Shanghai No.1 Machine Tool Works Co., Ltd. In 2015, the original Shanghai Crane & Conveyor Works Co., Ltd. Nuclear Power Business was transferred to Shanghai No.1 Machine Tool Works Co., Ltd.
