High temperature gas cooled reactor nuclear power plant is independently designed by Institute of Nuclear and New Energy Technology, Tsinghua University. It is the 4th generation nuclear power technology with complete intellectual property in Chinese civilized & commercial nuclear power plant. It has features of modular construction, inherent safety, efficient power generation, broad commercialized prospect. Metal RVI is the core equipment of HTGR, mainly used for supporting and limit position of ceramic RVI, to ensure the alignment of RVI; Transfer the loads from core and ceramic structure to the pressure vessel, accurately locate the various channel, to realize thermal shielding and heat transmission. During the whole life of reactor, metal RVI must shut down safely and lead-out of residual heat must not be impacted under any conditions.
During manufacturing we developed 12Cr2Mo1R hot wire TIG welding process for core vessel; Considering the welding characters of core vessel, we designed and customized a vertical welding machine for core vessel; Adopting “progressive cutting” process, we independently designed and manufactured the upturn tooling for the whole work-piece, finished the manufacturing of high-precision & splicing lower support plate; Determine process reference step by step, reconfigure the precision and allocation of process reference in every stage during manufacturing, realize high-precision alignment of circumferential weld of core vessel; Considering the characters of HTGR core vessel structure, we developed dedicated upturn transportation device for the shell; Use the laser tracker to perform spatial measuring, accomplish the measuring and customization of anti-rotating key and I beam.
