As the first set of the 3rd generation nuclear power unit, Taishan EPR nuclear power plant phase II is designed by French AREVA company and completely manufactured and constructed by our country. Based on the current proven generation 2+ nuclear power technology program, Shanghai no.1 Machine Tool Works Co., Ltd. digests French AREVA “the 3rd generation” PWR nuclear power technology, through development and tackling of key task, completely masters the manufacturing technology of the 3rd generation EPR nuclear power reactor internals. In March 2015 this project was accepted and delivered, and in January 2019 the achievement appraisal passed.
During the development of Taishan EPR reactor internals, for new processing technology, nearly 30 tests and verification have been carried out in aspects of welding, heat treatment, machining, tooling equipment application and measuring, achieves several technical innovative breakthrough, lays a technical foundation for the serial production of the following project.
