As the terminal of the water system of the power plant, desulfurization wastewater has a complex composition, high salinity and strong scale-causing ability, making it difficult to achieve “zero discharge” and reuse. The treatment of desulfurization wastewater is difficult and expensive, making it the key factor for “zero discharge" of wastewater. Shanghai Electric carries out technological breakthrough on zero discharge treatment process of desulphurization wastewater, optimizes and integrates the existing technologies. The system has a wide application range, high reliability and stable product water quality.

The zero-discharge project for desulphurization wastewater of a power plant in Guangdong Province is a typical case of desulphurization wastewater treatment in the power industry. Shanghai Electric provides the treatment system for two units, which is currently the largest national zero-discharge project of desulfurization wastewater.

1、The integrated pretreatment softening technology can reduce the total hardness of effluent water by more than 50% compared with the conventional softening process, ensuring the normal operation of the subsequent membrane concentration process;

2、Multi-stage membrane concentration process is adopted to further improve the treatment effect of the system. The wastewater recovery rate reaches 70% and the desalination rate is above 99%;

3、The concentrated water after high magnification concentration treatment is directly treated by washing slag, digested in the factory, and no wastewater is discharged.
