In 2006, company signed the first overseas project—EPC project of 9 substations of 220kv for NEC in Sudan. The 9 substations are ①Jabel Aulia substation；②Mashkour substation；③Rabak substation；④Rank substation；⑤Roseires substation；⑥Freezone tariff-free zone；⑦Rwaba substation；⑧Ten Delty substation；and ⑨Obaid substation respectively. As an important project for SPTDE to go abroad, the project drives the export value of domestic transmission and distribution equipment to account for 60% of the total contract value, which is about $50,000,000. The 9 substations were put into operation smoothly, and were rated as substation prototypes and benchmarking projects by the Sudan Ministry of Power, and were placed as classic model at the National Electric Company's exhibition hall.
