Shanghai Electric Group Co. Ltd., Machine Tool Group, one of the strategic units of Shanghai Electric Group Co. Ltd., was reorganized through peeling-off bad assets, merge and acquisition of the machine tool field of Shanghai Electric Group Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Electric Asset Management Company in May 2006.

Machine Tool Group consists of Shanghai Machine Tool Works Co. Ltd., Shanghai Heavy Duty Machine Tool Works Co. Ltd., Shanghai Third Machine Tool Works, and two overseas holding company – IKEGAI Corporation in Japan and Wohlenberg. Werkzeugmaschinen GmbH in Germany.

Our Main Products range over all types of CNC Grinder, Horizontal and Vertical Multi-spindle machining center, CNC boring and milling machine, various specifications of CNC lathes, as well as all kinds of precision CNC machine tool and numerical control machine for industries. Not only engaging in the products of the subsidiaries, we also run the products of Shanghai Second Machine Tool Works, Shanghai Fourth Machine Tool Works, Shanghai Fifth Machine Tool Works, Shanghai 11th Machine Tool Works, Shanghai HuDong Machine Tool Works and Shanghai JiangNing Machine Tool Works.
