Shanghai Electric has undertaken the following domestic projects: Traction step-down substation (12*35kV) for Shanghai Metro Line 3; electric work for Shanghai Metro Line 6, Line 7, Line 8 and Line 9;
Power substations (48*10kV, 12*10kV) for Shanghai Pudong International Airport;
220KV power substation for Shanghai Heavy Machinery Co., Ltd and 110kV power substation for Lingang Production Base;
Two 35kV power substations for Shanghai Yangtze River Tunnel-Bridge, one in Pudong, one in Changxing Island, respectively. |
Overseas PTD engineering projects
Shanghai Electric has undertaken various overseas projects which include: renovation projects for urban power grids and rural power grids in Zimbabwe; 110/10kV substation projects in Lạng Sơn, Xian an(仙安), Móng Cái , Mu zhou (木洲) and Tuần Giáo, Vietnam; 230/33/11kV substation renovation project and supply of materials used in 230kV PTD engineering project in Burma; nine 220kV substations in Sudan; 220kV PTD engineering project in Sri Lanka; BBDA 400kV PTD project in Ethiopia.

| Since 2008, Shanghai Electric has undertaken engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) for the 400kV power transmission project for Ethiopia’s Beles-Bahir Dar-Debre Markos-Addis Ababa power line. Responsibilities of the Company included building a 400kV substation, installing 490 km of power transmission lines and respective prospecting and design work, the manufacture of equipment, procurement of materials, commodity inspections, shipment and insurance, construction work, installation and debugging, support of work quality inspections and the approval process, training of end users and rendering service during warranty periods. |
Since 2006, Shanghai Electric has been engaged in nine 220kV power transformation EPC engineering projects in Sudan.For the third Roseires-Khartoum power transmission line, the company has participated in the engineering projects for five transformer substations located at Roseires, Rabak, Mashkour, Jabel, and Aulia.For the Rabak-Elobaida power transmission line, the company has taken part in the engineering of three transformer substations, namely Um Rwaba, EIRahad, and EIObaid, together with the 220kV double-loop partition project in the Rabak substation.Lastly, the Freezone 220kV power transformation project of the Giri PhaseⅡ2*55MW power plant for petroleum coke in Giri, Sudan. |

| Since 2008, Shanghai Electric has undertaken the Puttalam 1*300MW coal-fired power plant power transmission/distribution project in Sri Lanka. The company was responsible for the design, materials procurement and construction of two 220kV substations and installation of 115km long 220kV double-loop power transmission lines. |
